  • The initial compensation for this position ranges from $28.48 - $35.02 per hour; depending on experience, location and internal equity considerations
  • 8% License Differential for LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD. and select Peer Certifications**
  • 7.5% Bilingual Differential for qualified positions**

About our Program Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) : At IOP, clinicians work with youth and families to provide a comprehensive range of services, including individual, family, and group therapy; case management; and collaboration with natural and professional supports. Our program emphasizes a team-based treatment approach that integrates evidence-based therapeutic interventions, behavioral support, crisis intervention, and Child and Family Team facilitation. Clients also have access to coordinated medication management.

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Overview:

Under direct supervision develops and implements positive behavior supports and intervention strategies to address significant behavioral problems for youth and their families/caregivers in a variety of environments. Works independently and collaboratively with others on the clinical team to support creation and implementation of stabilization and service plans in a variety of settings including homes, community, and or treatment settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct services to youth and families.
  • Assists teams in developing a hypothesis of function and underlying unmet needs in an effort to develop individualized, strength based strategies and interventions that will result in positive behavior change.
  • Develops intervention plans that support the decrease in behaviors while incorporating strengths into skill development plans, a time-line regarding implementation and transition of plans to the youth and family, as well as both proactive and reactive strategies that can be used before, after, and during escalating incidents.
  • Understands and engages in therapeutic opportunities in crisis situations and provides corrective experiences in times of crisis.
  • Offers constructive feedback and creative suggestions in the use of non-aversive approaches to behavior change to all members of the team.
  • Models, trains, and practices with the child, family and natural supports behavioral interventions and skill development plans.
  • Provides positive demonstration of professional behavior in all aspects of his/her role, maintaining positive relations with customers and modeling the value of these relationships internally and externally.
  • Attends and participate in weekly supervision, weekly staff meetings, in-service training and treatment team meetings.
  • Actively participates in continuous quality improvement processes and projects.
  • Performs other responsibilities, as assigned, to support department and business needs.
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED and one (1) or more years of relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of relevant experience equals one year of education) to include;
  • Minimum of (1) one year of experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs, developmental disabilities, or emotional/behavioral challenges in school-based community, or residential settings.
  • Familiarity with behavioral intervention strategies, crisis de-escalation, and positive behavior support.
  • CPR, First Aid, or crisis intervention certification or willingness to obtain.
