As a Dog Grooming Specialist, you’re at the heart of that experience. You create a calm, positive environment for every dog, build real relationships with pet parents, and take pride in delivering beautiful, thoughtful grooms. You’ll also guide guests on the best services, add-ons, and routines to keep their dogs healthy, comfortable, and looking their best.If you love your craft, enjoy connecting with people, and want to grow with a brand that’s building something special across Illinois, we’d love to meet you

Pay: $17 per hour PLUS TIPS. All tips paid out same-day!

Schedule:

• We are open 9a-5p
• Full Time and Part Time opportunities available
• Weekend availability required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

What You’ll Do:

• Consult with pet parents to understand goals and recommend appropriate services and add ons
• Provide safe, high quality baths and prep work for grooming services
• Drive upgrade services and support membership growth
• Perform: baths, blowouts, brush outs, nail trims, and ear cleaning, gland expressions, dematting, desheds and ear plucking.
• Assess coat condition, behavior, and overall comfort
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and shop space
• Communicate clearly with the front desk and leadership team
• Uphold Bowie Barker standards for care, safety, and quality
• Be an active, supportive part of our team

Who You Are:

• 2+ years experience in professional dog bathing
• Confident in safely handling dogs 60 pounds and up
• Able to stand for 8+ hours a day
• Detail oriented and take pride in your work
• Reliable, accountable, and team focused
• Open to feedback and excited to grow into more responsibility
