General Manager (Hospitality Group)

Overview

A high-end, multi-concept restaurant group focused on seasonal, ingredient-driven cuisine and elevated guest experiences is seeking an experienced General Manager. The organization emphasizes sustainability, quality sourcing, and a refined yet approachable dining environment.

Position Summary

The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, and driving overall business performance. This role oversees team leadership, financial results, and operational execution while maintaining a strong focus on guest satisfaction and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily front-of-house operations and ensure seamless coordination across all service areas
  • Maintain high standards of guest experience and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Monitor service flow and provide real-time support to staff during peak periods
  • Train, mentor, and develop management and hourly team members
  • Promote a positive and productive workplace culture that supports retention and engagement
  • Oversee scheduling, payroll accuracy, and administrative processes in compliance with internal policies
  • Ensure consistent quality in food, beverage, and service delivery
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards in accordance with regulations
  • Collaborate with kitchen leadership to align pacing, service execution, and guest needs
  • Analyze operational and financial data to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Support hiring efforts, performance management, and team development initiatives
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs and operational improvements
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact operations

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant management role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality guest experiences in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and controlling costs
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with POS systems and operational software platforms
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, service excellence, and team development
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods during service
  • Capable of lifting and carrying moderate weight as needed
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
