We're Hiring: Geologist | Walden Environmental Engineering
Walden is a family-owned environmental and occupational health consulting firm that has been doing meaningful work since 1995 — helping clients protect air quality, water quality, and human health across Long Island, NYC, and the Hudson Valley.
We're growing, and we're looking for talented geologists at all experience levels to join our teams in Oyster Bay, NY and East Fishkill, NY.
Compensation: $75,000 – $120,000
Commensurate with experience, education, and licensure.

What You'll Do
• Lead and participate in Phase I/II environmental site investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, and site characterization
• Prepare technical reports, boring logs, and regulatory submissions for NYSDEC, USEPA, and applicable agencies
• Support remediation projects including RI/FS, remedial design, and construction oversight
• Conduct field work — drilling oversight, soil classification, well installation — in all weather conditions
• Navigate permitting processes with a working command of federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development as you grow

What We're Looking For
Required:
• BS or MS in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related engineering discipline
• 3+ years of post-bachelor's professional experience in environmental consulting or a related field
• Strong technical writing skills — clear, organized, client-ready reports
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites
Preferred / Bonus Points:
• MS degree in Geology or Environmental Engineering
• EIT/FE certification or active pursuit of Professional Geologist (PG) licensure
• Familiarity with NYSDEC Part 375, ASTM E1527, or similar regulatory frameworks
• Experience with remedial design, construction oversight, or spill response
