Job Description:

What will you work on
In this role you will be instrumental in creating art for a variety of childrens products from toys and games to arts and crafts and activity ideal candidate will have a stronggraphiceye can execute with little supervision a passion for childrens products and an understanding of what makes a product successful in the market.

• Conceptualize and design engaging and educational content for a wide range of childrens products including toys puzzles activity books and pretend play sets.

• Layoutdesigns quickly to present to and get approval fromthemanagement team

• Create original illustrations in a variety of styles that are consistent with the Melissa & Doug brand.

• Collaborate with the Design Director and other team members from concept to final production.

• Prepare and deliver accurate design files and specifications for manufacturing considering cost and ergonomic factors.

• Create rough drafts and mock-ups to effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.

• Ensure that all designs align with our brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel across all products.

• Stay current with design trends and bring innovative ideas to the team.

What are your skills and experience

• Experience ingraphicdesign or illustration preferably in the childrens product or toy industry.

• Superblayout and design skills with attention to detail

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator Photoshop InDesign).

• Excellent drawing and illustration skills with the ability to work in various styles .

• Proficiency in vector-based illustrations and understanding of printing processes .

• A solid understanding of design principles including typography color theory and layout.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills .

• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at ability to execute under tight deadlines is a key

• A strong portfolio showcasing your design and illustration skills.

  The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Connecticut is $65000 to $75000 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job years of experience within the required industry education etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
