Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Sioux Falls, SD (Hybrid)

Salary: $90K-$110K + Benefits

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing construction company based in Sioux Falls. With a strong presence across regional projects and a people-first culture, they are looking to appoint an experienced HR Manager to support and develop their workforce in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid role offering flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with leadership and operational teams.

As HR Manager, you will lead and oversee all human resources functions across the business, supporting both office and field-based employees. You will play a key role in driving HR strategy, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture within a construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, performance management, and HR administration
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives across field and office roles
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Support compensation, benefits, and workforce planning processes
  • Lead employee engagement and culture initiatives
  • Handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on HR-related issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of HR experience, ideally within construction or a similar industry
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting both field and corporate employees is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
