JOB TITLE: HR Associate

Location: San Jose, CA (On-site)

Salary: $23-$30/hr

Position Type: Temp to Perm

Note: This role requires someone who is bilingual in English and Mandarin

We are a leading provider of high-quality LED street, area, site, and traffic signal lighting solutions. We are committed to driving innovation and sustainability through our products, services, and customer support, serving both public and commercial sectors. We are currently transitioning into an IoT solutions and Data Management Systems (DMS) provider, leveraging street lighting technology and lighting grid infrastructure as its foundation.

About The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Associate to join our People team. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates or early‑career professionals who are interested in building a career in HR, operations, and employee support within a growing organization.

The HR Associate will support day-to-day HR operations, assist with billing submissions, and help coordinate employment-based immigration processes. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Mandarin, highly organized, and eager to learn.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain and update employee records/data with accuracy and confidentiality
• Coordinate with internal teams on HR-related administrative tasks
• Prepare and submit billing related to HR services (e.g., insurance, temp agencies, etc.)
• Track invoices, payments, and supporting documentation
• Assist with employment-based immigration processes (e.g., OPT, CPT, L-1, or other work authorization support)
• Coordinate document collection and communication between employees, managers, and immigration vendors or legal counsel
• Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed
• Assist with special HR projects and process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Mandarin
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
