Job Description

Textum OPCO, LLC is hiring Machine Operators for its textile manufacturing operation.

Location: Belmont, NC

Schedule: Full-time – 1st and 2nd Shifts available

We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our production team as Machine Operators . This is a hands-on manufacturing role where you’ll operate equipment, support efficient production, and help ensure our products meet high standards for quality and safety. Details of Responsibilities:

  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently to meet quality and output goals.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions to produce assigned products accurately.
  • Perform machine set-ups according to equipment and style specifications.
  • Inspect products during operation and document findings as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including returning tools to designated locations.
  • Wear required PPE (steel-toe shoes and ear protection) at all times.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Report product issues, equipment malfunctions, or injuries to management promptly.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. One year of related experience or training preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
  • Able to communicate effectively in one-on-one or small-group settings. 
  • Basic math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to read a tape measure or rule.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions.
  • Capable of solving routine problems involving a few concrete variables. 
  • Strong time-management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to bend, lift, stoop, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
  • Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and smelling. 
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must pass a drug screen.
