Pharmacist – Macon, GA

Full-Time | Rotating Schedule including weekends and nights

Position Summary

The Pharmacist is responsible for advancing the pharmacy’s operational goals while ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. This includes providing comprehensive drug information, performing clinical and technical screening, overseeing workflow, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. The Pharmacist ensures that all medication products are prepared, verified, and delivered with the highest level of accuracy and safety.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

• Execute daily pharmacy operations related to workflow, production quotas, and established deadlines
• Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support adherence to DEA policies and third‑party payer requirement

Quality Assurance & Accuracy

• Verify accuracy and completeness of all new and refill prescriptions
• Review drug packaging and labeling for precision and regulatory compliance
• Oversee preparation and/or supervision of sterile IV drug products and solutions

Leadership & Oversight

• Supervise pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow efficiency, and adherence to delivery schedules
• Maintain security and proper handling of all medications, including controlled substances
• Assist with ordering, receiving, documentation, and perpetual inventory management for Schedule II medications

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Active Pharmacist License in the state of Georgia
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
