Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Technician
Location: Columbia, MD, 21046
Shift: 2nd shift. 8-hour shift that would start between 12pm-5pm
PAY - $20/hr. ON W2 WITHOUT ANY BENEFITS
Responsibilities:
* Pick, label, scan, and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
* Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently.
* Process returned drugs and recycled/dispose per procedure.
* Prepack frequently ordered medications during low volume times.
* Package materials and products manually.
* Pull/pick medications from storage areas.
* Apply labels to blister cards and scan for accuracy.
* Alert pharmacist of any scanning issues.
* Maintain workstation and replenish stock supplies.
* Follow HIPAA and applicable regulations.
* Comply with safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Ability to work at a moderate speed.
* Proficient in English (read, write, speak, understand).
* Clear and active MD Pharmacy Technician License (MDBOP).
Preferred Background:
* Prior experience in a pharmacy setting (retail or long-term care).
* Experience in high-volume retail pharmacy.
Team Environment:
* Collaborative team of pharmacists, technicians, and clerks.
Physical Demands:
* Sit/stand/walk intermittently for 7-10 hours/day.
* Lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
* Visual acuity and hearing required.
Overtime Work
* Not required, but may be necessary occasionally to ensure timely prescription release.
Weekend and Holiday Work
* Required to work every other weekend and some holidays.
