Senior IBM Netcool Developer (Telecom Fault Management & AIOps)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IBM Netcool Developer with strong Telecom domain expertise to design, develop, and maintain enterprise Fault Management (FM) and Event Management solutions using IBM Netcool/OMNIbus, Netcool Impact, and Netcool Operations Insight (NOI).

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building event collection, normalization, correlation, enrichment, and automation solutions across Telecom network domains including RAN, Core, Transport, IP/MPLS, and IT Infrastructure. The role requires expertise in AIOps, event-driven automation, alarm correlation, root cause analysis, and large-scale network monitoring environments.

IBM Netcool Development

Design, develop, and maintain solutions using:
- IBM Netcool/OMNIbus
- IBM Netcool Impact

- IBM Netcool Operations Insight (NOI)
Build and customize:
- Rules
- Probes
- Gateways
- Policies
- Event Processing Logic

Event Management & Correlation

Develop event collection, normalization, enrichment, and correlation solutions.
Implement:
- Alarm suppression
- Deduplication
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Event filtering
- Alarm thresholding
- Alarm synchronization
Support high-volume event processing environments.

Telecom Fault Management

Build fault management solutions across:
- RAN
- Core Networks
- Transport Networks
- IP/MPLS
- Enterprise IT Infrastructure
Design service impact and fault correlation models.

Integration & Automation

Develop integrations using:
- REST APIs
- SOAP APIs
- Kafka
- Webhooks
- SNMP
- Syslog
- MQTT
Integrate with:
- ServiceNow
- Inventory Systems
- GIS Platforms
- Performance Management Tools
- Trouble Ticketing Systems

AIOps & Predictive Analytics

Implement AIOps solutions for:
- Anomaly Detection
- Predictive Fault Analytics
- Event Noise Reduction
- Root Cause Analysis
Collaborate with AI/ML teams to enable:
- Predictive monitoring
- Alarm forecasting
- AI-powered fault management
- Closed-loop automation

Automation & DevOps

Develop automation using:
- Ansible
- NOI Runbooks
- ServiceNow Flows
- Python/Shell Scripts
Implement:
- Auto-ticketing
- Auto-remediation
- Auto-healing workflows

Required Qualifications

8-10 years of experience in Telecom OSS/Fault Management environments.
Strong expertise in IBM Netcool/OMNIbus and IBM NOI.
Hands-on development experience with Netcool rules, probes, gateways, and integrations.
Experience working in Telecom NOC/Operations environments.
Strong understanding of event correlation and fault management processes.
Experience integrating Netcool with ServiceNow and enterprise platforms.
Strong scripting and automation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI/ML-driven Operations (AIOps).
Experience with OpenNMS or HPE TeMIP.
Knowledge of Telecom inventory and topology systems.
Experience with cloud-native monitoring and observability platforms.
