Job Description

We are looking for experienced Test Analysts / Senior Test Analysts to support the implementation and testing of Wero payment services within a banking environment. The successful candidates must be capable of working independently, managing test activities end-to-end, and executing complex functional and integration testing across payment systems, digital channels, APIs, and back-end banking applications.

The role requires a strong understanding of payments processing, SEPA schemes, Instant Payments, Open Banking interfaces, and customer-facing payment journeys.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Testing & Test Management

• 5+ years of experience in software testing within the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven experience in:
  • Test planning and estimation
  • Test case design and preparation
  • Test execution and defect management
  • SIT, E2E, Regression and UAT support
  • Test reporting and stakeholder communication
  • Risk-based testing approaches

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience coordinating with business, operations, development, architecture and vendor teams.
• Experience using test management tools such as Jira, Xray, HP ALM/QC, Azure DevOps or similar

Payments Domain Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of banking payments processing.
• Understanding of the end-to-end payment lifecycle:
  • Payment initiation
  • Validation
  • Routing
  • Settlement
  • Notifications
  • Exception handling
  • Reconciliation

• Experience with:
  • SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT)
  • SEPA Instant Payments (SCT Inst)
  • Payment investigations and exceptions
  • Mobile and digital payment journeys

• Understanding of ISO 20022 payment messages is highly desirable

Wero / Open Banking Knowledge

• Experience testing Open Banking and API-based payment solutions.
• Understanding of:
  • API integrations
  • Customer consent management
  • Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)
  • PSD2 / Open Banking concepts
  • Digital wallet/payment initiation services

• Wero implementation experience is highly desirable.
• Experience testing customer onboarding and account linking journeys is an advantage

Non-Functional Testing (Advantage)

• Basic understanding of:
  • Performance testing
  • Volume testing
  • Resilience testing
  • High-availability scenarios

• Experience using Postman, SOAP UI or equivalent API testing tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business and functional requirements.
• Create and maintain test scenarios, test cases and test data.
• Execute SIT, E2E and regression testing for Wero payment flows.
• Validate customer onboarding, consent and payment initiation journeys.
• Validate SEPA Instant Payment processing and settlement flows.
• Perform API and interface testing across multiple banking systems.
• Identify, document and manage defects through resolution.
• Produce daily and weekly test execution reports.
• Support UAT and production readiness activities.
• Coordinate testing activities across multiple delivery teams and vendors.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and defects.
